PERFORMANCE
At the heart of the new HP ProBook is fresh CPU Core i5-2520M (Sandy Bridge 32 nm). In Core i5-2520M is guided by an expanded set of SIMD-instructions: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE 4.1, SSE 4.2, AES instructions.
Both memory slots are now available from the bottom (at 6540/6550b one slot was under the keyboard). Upgrade an even easier now, because memory is installed one module PC3-10700 from Micron Technology.

The processor performs all the tests with confidence, going on an equal footing with Intel Core i7 640M. Mathematical performance of this solution is enough for everyone, even the most demanding tasks (those who seem to lack 2520M performance, you should look and feel to the models of p and w-series – for 6560b this processor is the fastest available). Also pay attention to the office system performance – it is above all tested laptops on the previous generation processor Intel.
Although HP and this model uses a chipset portebitelsky HM65 (rather than QM67 or HM67), it lacks the possibility for such a device. The level of delays recorded by DPC Latency Checker, does not go beyond “green range”. The system can be perfect to work with streaming audio and video data, that life involves a great job with external sound cards or tuners.
Aida test showed absolutely standard values, because the memory runs in single channel mode, and the speed of the memory controller are accustomed.
Video
Graphic system represent only a discrete notebook graphics engine – Built-in CPU chip maker Intel HD 3000 felt useless and disabled it at the hardware level. In 6560b there is also a linear and laptops without discrete graphics (in this case, the basis is the Intel HD 3000).
AMD Radeon HD 6470 – graphics card, entry-level, which is just a faster version of Radeon HD 6370. Accordingly, using the already familiar chip Park, built according to 40-nm process technology. The number of stream processors has doubled, now they are 160 units (32 five-nuclei). The frequency of the kernel directly left on the value of 750 MHz, and the chip is still linked with the memory 64-bit bus. Alas, the schedule is provided with only 512 MB of its own video memory DDR3 (900 MHz). Although using Hyper Memory technology, this volume can be increased up to 2291 MB, it does not give much gain in performance. The adapter supports DirectX 11, Shader 5.0 and OpenGL 3.2. Mobility Radeon HD 6470 uses Avivo HD video technology and UVD (Unified Video Decoder) third generation (the latter on its own decoding of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, VC-1, MPEG-2, Multi-View, DivX and xVid). AMD Eyefinity technology for the graphics used to display simultaneously on the display 4, however, the laptop only two video outputs.
Carrying a total of 512 MB DDR3 memory and 64-bit controller, graphics may not be helpful in today’s games. Potential game cards rather modest, but the laptop was designed as a reliable tool for the job. In fact, 6470M is an analogue of nVidia GeForce 520M.
